It was quick ! It was expensive!!! I usually pay $55 for a blow out & deep conditioner they charged me $75 my hair is gorgeous I only put four stars because of the price If the price wasn't that expensive I would have put five stars -Baltimore resident
Yesterday I looked for a place to just trim and blow dry my hair. Everything was OK. The lady did a ok job. I got there was my hair washed and conditioner already, so for just a trim which she cut less then an inch, and blow it out, when I asked how much the owner said 70$ my mouth dropped on the website it said 40-65 for shampoo and conditioner w/ a blowout . So since I washed my hair at home I thought no more then 55$ with a 10$ tip it's gonna be like 65. I was good with that if they shampoo and conditioner my hair it maybe be ok to pay 65$ with a 5$ tip. No problem. The problem happened after I left the shop, I'm in my car going thought my phone, when a young lady in her 30s i would think, I saw her seated in the shop and she was looking at me i didn't think anything, so she knocked on my car window so I open my door, because my windows doesn't go down, she ask me what was wrong with my hair and did I liked my hair ,I said yes I ok with my hair. And in seconds she gone mad and started to yell at me and cursed me out then slam my car door with all her might then punch my windows as to try to break it, im a 62 yrs old grandma and Christian, I got scare so I try to leave she jumps in front of my car like to stop me from leaving, I was able to leave , I tush down north 9st a d turned on liberty st as im drive and crying i look in my back view mirror and I see an suv coming fast toss me, I get scare and by now I am shaking , as the car gets closer it pulls up next to me in the on coming cars when i look over its was the her, at thus point I am shaking I get my phone call 911, she fellow me down at least 4 to 5 blocks. Once she notices I was on my phone she turned off one off the street. I will never go to Center Allentown ever. I will never go back to this place . It's sad I got home and called the owner and she sounded very surprised and said she didn't know her daughter was going to do something like that. I try to believe her but as I sit here write this review it make me wonder, because that girl was in the shop with a baby girl , but she didn't have the baby with her. So she had to leave the baby in the shop. I still praying on if I should report it to Allentown police. The owner is the reason why I haven't reported. She said she would talk to her daughter for future notice. Someone could of got hurt bad.
The owner of the salon is incredibly sweet and kind-hearted, always making clients feel welcome and valued. The talented women who work there are not only skilled in their craft, but they have also been part of the team for many years, showcasing their dedication and passion for their work. This establishment is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I took my daughter to get her hair done. Prior to arriving I called to make sure my daughter had enough time to get the botox hair treatment as it is time consuming. When we arrived, I made sure again that they were able to do my daughters hair. I was assured both times that they were able to provide the services I asked for. Everything started off fine. I decided to get my hair done as well. My daughter and I got our hair washed together, sat side by side under the hair dryer, then were separated when it came time for the individual stylist to do our hair. My back was towards my daughter as that's how the seats were set up. I couldn't see my daughter for about 15 minutes. It wasn't until I saw a glimpse of my daughter from the mirror in front of me that I saw my daughter crying hysterically. I immediately jumped up from my seat to go over to my daughter. There were two hair stylist tugging, pulling, and forcibly blow drying my daughter's hair. My daughter was hysterically crying, clearly in pain, and asking for help. Neither of the ladies cared to stop, ease up the hair pulling, or try and console my daughter. It wasn't until I had asked them to leave my daughter alone since they were too careless to gently do her hair. The owner came over to finish my daughter's hair. I voiced my disappointment to the owner. I explained to her that my daughter has been to multiple salons and has had multiple hair treatments lasting 4-6 hours long and she has NEVER cried or shed a tear. So for my daughter to be hysterically crying was because the stylists were both hurting my daughter. The owner didn't agree. Instead she defended the hair stylist as one of them was her sister. The owner never apologized to my daughter, she never compensated my daughter for her pain, and she didn't care how neither my daughter or I felt. The owner charged $250 for a botox hair treatment for an 8 year old with shoulder length hair. This was not my first time at the establishment, but it certainly is the last time I will ever go there. The stylists are rude, careless, and only there to make money. They don't appreciate the clientele. You would think they would provide better services with the prices they charge.
Always great !! This continues to be the best Dominican Hair Salon to go to in the community. For those who know what to expect from a Dominican salon, namely a welcoming down home -feel good environment with efficient, skilled and accommodating hairdressers... then we share the same respect for the establishment. I have improved hair health and I'm not complaining about an occasional cup of "cafecito". So unlike a Chick-fil-A commercial- I was not paid for my testimony) 10/10 recommended! -sign- the "grateful" Barbara and fam. 😁
